    „Ich glaube an Gott, aber ich habe keinen Glauben“, so ambivalent dieser Satz erscheinen mag, so treffend past er doch zu Salvador Dalís Einstellung gegenüber dem Allmächtigen und Religion. Durch seine Kindheit geprägt – die Familie seiner Mutter war zutiefst vom katholischen Glauben überzeugt, während sein Vater atheistisch erzogen worden war – sollte sich der Surrealist sein Leben lang mit dem Thema Glaube / Nichtglaube auseinandersetzen. In seiner Jugend und seinen frühen Jahren als Künstler eiferte er dem Vater nach, verachtete Reglion, und seine Bilder beinhalten durchaus blasphemische Ansätze, die Empörung und scharfe Kritik hervorriefen. Jedoch in den 1940er Jahren, als um die 40-jähriger, etablierter Künstler, kehrte er zum Katholizismus…
