Paul Klee: creatividad y abstracción
Ya a finales del siglo XIX el arte estaba intentando cortar con el formalismo academicista, pero a principios del XX la cosa se salió de madre: empezaron a nacer vanguardias sin control, se desató la creatividad individual dando paso a artistas, más que a movimientos artísticos, se cortó con la función representativa de la realidad (sobre todo en la pintura) para dar paso a la expresiva. Der Schweizer Künstler Paul Klee (1879-1940) wird der Abstrakten Kunst zugeordnet. Doch wie lässt sich Abstraktion eigentlich definieren? Der Begriff ‚abstrakt‘ steht im Gegensatz zu ‚real‘ und hat nur in der Gegenüberstellung zu seinem Antonym eine Bedeutung, denn wenn nichts real wäre, könnte natürlich auch nichts von der Realität abstrahiert, d. h. vereinfacht oder verallgemeinert werden. Alles, was in der Wissenschaft nicht gemessen werden kann, ist nicht real. Träume, Wünsche, Ideen, Vorstellungen – alles ist subjektiv und dem Begriff nach zunächst nicht real. Let me steer you away from the realm of art for a moment, and instead let me ask you to consider the many love/hate relationships that we so often have. Take chocolate for instance; LOVE chocolate, HATE myself afterwards (for all those who have consumed an entire large Galaxy bar in one sitting, you know what I mean….).
