    Rubens ou l’émotion retrouvée

    J’ai une tendresse particulière pour les femmes de Rubens. Elles sont confortables à l’œil, leur chair sans apprêt. Avec leurs seins lourds et leurs cuisses larges, elles nous donnent le sentiment de pouvoir accueillir l’humanité. Pour une génération d’hommes confrontés aux formes d’une Twiggy (top modèle anglais des années 60), ou des tops modèles de la haute-couture, quelle divine surprise que les femmes puissent être autre que filiformes, grandes et sèches ! Voici quelques années, le magazine Elle faisait sa une avec Emmanuelle Béart. Même les féministes saluèrent cette nouvelle Vénus.     Während manche Gemälde Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640) auf den ersten Blick wie Illustrationen eines Kitschromans erscheinen, reicht ein wenig Geduld, um in seinen Werken eine Vielzahl mythologischer, religiöser oder historisch-politischer Anspielungen zu entdecken. Reine Landschaften oder Porträts ohne literarische Referenzen, die sogenannte l’art pour l’art, sind eine Errungenschaft der späten Neuzeit.
