Van Gogh : de Hollywood au festival de Cannes
Le 18 juillet 1944, le général S.S Tanz, héros de la campagne de Russie et nettoyeur de Varsovie, pénètre dans le musée de l’Orangerie à Paris. En effet, depuis 1940, les services allemands réquisitionnent les œuvres d’art, tant auprès des collectionneurs juifs que lors de pillages méthodiques. Dans ce musée, une salle est alors réservée à l’art « dégénéré » selon la définition nazie. Là se côtoient des tableaux de Toulouse-Lautrec, Chagall, Kandinsky et autres.
