    Depuis 97 ans je suis allongé, là, à côté de mon épouse Rose au cimetière de Meudon. Les voix de l’au-delà m’ont rapporté qu’une exposition sur mon œuvre avait pour thème « La Chair et le marbre ». Curieuse idée, mais les hommes du xxie siècle nous surprennent souvent, nous qui sommes nés au xixe siècle. Entre la chair et le marbre, j’ai toujours préféré la chair, dans son sens érotique, ce plaisir condamné par les Saintes Écritures. Je trouvais dans les interdits de la jouissance, ma plénitude d’homme.
