Desde que tengo uso de razón estos dos conceptos han estado asociados en mi cabeza por medio de la cultura popular: la primavera la sangre altera. ¿Quién no ha oído esa frase alguna vez? La referencia es clara, tras un invierno frío y a menudo de reclusión sucede una primavera en que los primeros rayos del sol invitan a la búsqueda de la fruición. Hiroshige mon amour,
Soyons clairs, je n’ai pas découvert le Japon avec les œuvres d’Hiroshige, Utamaro ou Hokusai. En vérité, j’ai d’abord rencontré les Japonais avec Tintin et le lotus bleu d’Hergé, puis plus tard avec le film Le Barbare et la Geisha, John Wayne étant l’acteur principal. C’est l’histoire authentique de Towsend Harris et de la geisha Okichi dont en fut tiré un roman puis un opéra : Madame Butterfly de Puccini. Le cinéma m’a aussi conduit sur les pas du Dernier Samouraï avec Tom Cruise, histoire d’un officier américain qui aide de ses conseils un samouraï rebelle.
