Es ist seltsam, nicht wahr, wir alle genießen die Meinungsfreiheit, wahrscheinlich ohne wirklich zu registrieren, dass wir daran teilnehmen. Die Tatsache, dass wir unsere Ansichten frei äußern können, ist wahrscheinlich eines der am häufigsten gewährten Rechte, die wir haben. Aber es scheint mir, dass wir regelmäßig Anstoß an den Dingen nehmen, ohne zu denken, dass wir damit wiederum einem anderen das Recht auf freie Meinungsäußerung nehmen. Ich spreche nicht wirklich davon, mit den Dingen auf logische und abgerundete Weise nicht einverstanden zu sein, denn das ist gesund, ich denke eher an die mutwillige Zerstörung der Kunst oder an destruktive Proteste, um zu versuchen, einen Standpunkt zu vertreten. C’est étrange, n’est-ce pas, nous jouissons tous de la liberté d’expression, probablement sans vraiment dire que nous en faisons partie. Le fait que nous puissions exprimer librement nos opinions est probablement l’un des droits les plus tenus pour acquis que nous ayons, mais je vois qu’il se peut que nous nous offusquions régulièrement de certaines choses, sans penser qu’en le faisant, elles enlèvent à leur tour le droit d’autrui à avoir leur propre liberté de parole. It’s odd isn’t it, we all enjoy freedom of speech, probably without really registering that we are partaking of it. The fact that we can freely express our views is probably one of the most taken for granted rights we have, yet, I see maybe taking offence to things on a regular basis, without thinking by doing it they are in turn taking away another’s right to have their own freedom of speech.
