Er war damals achtundfünfzig Jahre alt und näherte sich dem Höhepunkt seines Ruhmes. Arcimboldo (1527 – 1593) Als Sohn des Malers Biagio Arcimboldo und der Chiara Parisi wurde Giuseppe Arcimboldo 1527 in Mailand geboren. Die Familie, von vornehmer Herkunft, stammte ursprünglich aus Süddeutschland. Während des Mittelalters siedelten sich Teile seiner Familie dann in der Lombardei an. Influenced by cubism and Jean Arp, she began early in her career to make sculptures and assemblages out of wood objects she found in the street and painted black.
