‘New Rembrandt’ to be unveiled in Amsterdam
Portrait is not a lost work by Dutch master but a 3D printed painting made by software that distilled the features of a Rembrandt. If people think the portrait of a 17th-century thirtysomething man in black hat and white collar looks unmistakably like a Rembrandt, then Bas Korsten will be a happy man. Lire un tableau ? « Casa do Ribeiro » de Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso
Le tableau Casa do Ribeiro, peint en 1913, reprend le motif de La Maison de Manhufe. C’est à côté de cette maison que le père d’Amadeo a fait construire un ample atelier, qu’Amadeo lui-même, dans une lettre de 1910 à Lucie, considère comme étant plus que cela, « ce n’est pas juste un atelier, c’est définitivement une maison ». Dans ce tableau, il recourt aux mêmes parallélogrammes pour représenter la maison, mais cette fois, l’enjeu avec l’environnement et la construction de la perspective est plus complexe. Mais avant toute plongée, l’anguille sous roche étant un fléau encore tabou de nos jours, quelques précisions sur la symbolique du poisson. Le nom commun désignant « poisson » en grec n’est autre que le terme Iχθύς ou plus simplement ICHTUS en latin. AMEN !, me dites-vous en chœur ! Eh oui BINGO (et non Bimbo qui était le chat de Klee) !
