Die Pop Art Tradition – Die antwort auf die Massenkultur

    September 16, 2021 / 0 Comments

The Pop Art Tradition – Responding to Mass-Culture

    September 14, 2021 / 0 Comments

This book offers a radically new perspective on the so-called ‘Pop Art’ creative dynamic that has been around since the 1950s. It does so by enhancing the term ‘Pop Art’ which has always been recognised as a misnomer, for it obscures far more than it clarifies. Instead, the book connects all the art in question to mass-culture which has always provided its core inspiration.

The Japanese art world, the flesh, the devil

    June 14, 2016 / 0 Comments

Modern art has always been widely discussed. We all know some people who claim they could have done the same (maybe even you said it; the Tate saved you their best wall). There are also those who get their kicks out of an abandoned pair of glasses sitting on the ground. This debate being nowhere near its end, let’s just agree to never agree and mutually concede one simple thing: in the contemporary art world, Japan is a UFO. For all the Jeff Koonses and Damien Hirsts on the artsy planet, for all the prattle and tattle that come with their kind, none came closer, and with such a truly…

    Kunst ist relativ

    January 25, 2013 / 0 Comments
